Data Becker has launched a new official Web site for Highland Warriors, its upcoming real-time strategy game. The new site contains an explanation of the game's story and background, descriptions of some of the different factions and units that will be featured in the game, and an overview of the game's various features. It also contains answers to frequently asked questions and a gallery of screenshots and concept art.

Highland Warriors focuses on nearly 500 years' worth of battles fought on Scotland's soil. The game will include four playable factions, including the mystique clan, the highlanders, the merchant clan, and the English. Each faction will have its own single-player campaign inspired by actual events from Scottish history.

The game will use an advanced 3D graphics engine that will support highly detailed unit models, real-time shadows, and seamless texture mapping. Players will have access to a wide variety of units and structures, and the game's economic model is based on five basic resources: wood, food, ore, gold, and stone. The game will also include a map editor and support for up to eight players over the Internet.

Highland Warriors is scheduled for release near the end of the year. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and visit the new official Web site.
