Data Becker has today released new information concerning the English armies that will do battle with Scottish clans in the real-time strategy game Highland Warriors. Under the leadership of Edward I, the English armies are well trained, disciplined, and heavily armored, combining superior weaponry with advanced battle tactics in an attempt to overpower the Scottish heathens.

English units in the game include armored cavalry and a number of infantry units armed with maces, swords, and longbows. Special units available to the English include spies who can disguise themselves as the enemy, flag bearers who give surrounding units an attack bonus, war wolves, and battering rams. The English are also able to build unique training facilities and fortify buildings.

Scheduled for release in January 2003, Highland Warriors is a 3D real-time strategy game in which players assume control of one of four warring factions in medieval Scotland. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
