Hideo Kojima is Heading to RTX Sydney 2017

Rooster Teeth, Hanabee Entertainment, and Supanova Pop Culture Industries announced today via press release that veteran game designer and Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima would be a guest at RTX Sydney in 2017.

Slated for February 4-5, RTX Sydney is “an annual event that celebrates gaming and internet culture.” The event has moved from the Australian Technology Park to the new International Convention Centre (ICC) located in Darling Harbour, and is expecting close to 20,000 attendees in 2017.

Now Playing: Death Stranding Announced at E3 2016

“We’re thrilled to host Hideo Kojima at RTX Sydney,” said Cameron Rooney, Co-Director of RTX Sydney in the release. “You can’t go far in games culture before you learn Kojima-san’s name, and I know this is going to be an incredible experience for the fans coming to RTX.”

Kojima Productions announced its new game Death Stranding during E3 2016, to huge amounts of excitement and confusion. Kojima later revealed it would be an open world game with online elements, and that the tendrils hanging from the game’s logo are in fact representative of the cords or “strands” that connect us all.
