Here's What You'll Need to Run Nvidia's GeForce Experience Share Beta

Nvidia has opened up beta access to its updated GeForce Experience. The beta brings some cool new features to GeForce Experience, but one of the most interesting is perhaps GameStream Co-op.

According to Nvidia, GameStream co-op allows you to stream a game over the Internet and allows you to play "just as if your friend was sitting in the chair next to you."

Other features in the beta include YouTube integration and an in-game overlay that allows "in-game access to your favorite features," such as Twitch broadcasting and Nvidia's Shadowcast.

Here is the complete list of required specs for taking advantage of the GameStream function in the beta. Keep in mind, the guest computer involved in the stream also has a set of required specs, listed at the end.

Host PC

  • GPU:
    • Desktop: GeForce GTX 650 or higher graphics card
    • Notebook: Non-Optimus Notebook with GeForce GTX 660M or higher graphics (Optimus support coming later)
  • GPU driver: 355.60 or higher
  • CPU: Intel i3-2100 3.1GHz
  • System Memory: 4 GB or higher
  • OS: Windows 7, 8, or 10
  • Router
    • Minimum: 802.11 a/g router
    • Recommended: 8.02.11n 5Ghz router or Ethernet
  • Recommended Network Bandwidth: 7 Mbps upstream
  • Games: DirectX 9 or higher games running in fullscreen exclusive mode

Guest PC:

  • GPU: No minimum requirement
  • CPU: Intel i3-2100 3.1GHz or higher
  • System Memory: 4 GB or higher
  • Software: Chrome version 44
  • OS: Windows 7, 8, or 10
  • Router
    • Minimum: 802.11 a/g router
    • Recommended: 8.02.11n 5Ghz router or Ethernet
  • Recommended Network Bandwidth: 7 Mbps downstream

Nvidia took a jab at Apple recently after Apple's special live event in which it showed off the capabilities of Apple TV. Nvidia took the opportunity to champion its Android-powered Shield.
