The re-released versions of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 are out now (or coming soon, depending on the platform), and we have a look at what the updated graphics look like.

In both cases, you won't mistake these games as modern ones--their visuals aren't up to par with something you'd expect to see released in 2016. They do look better than the original versions (which were released in 2006 and 2009, respectively), though you're going to be disappointed if you had your expectations set high.

As part of the game's announcement at Comic-Con, executive producer Mike Jones indicated these re-releases wouldn't be proper remasters, saying, "We wanted these re-releases to be as faithful to the original Ultimate Alliance games as possible--the definitive versions.

"However, the team did work really hard on improving performance, some UI and graphic enhancements, as well as making the games compatible with modern platform features on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. They play really smooth."

Each game is available for $40, or you can get the two in a bundle for $60. They're out now as digital games on Steam and the PS4's PlayStation Store, with an Xbox One release to follow on July 28.
