Here's What Fire Emblem Heroes' Post-Launch DLC Is
I can be your hero, baby.
Kouhei Maeda, the game's co-director told IGN, "We plan to add new stories continually after release, at a pace of about two a month or one every two weeks. We also plan to add things like new characters and skills, as well as new game modes that go in different directions from the current gameplay."
Another co-director, Shingo Matsushita, reportedly added that Nintendo and developer Intelligent systems will continue to support Heroes as long as consumers keep playing it.
Fire Emblem Heroes released on iOS and Android on February 2. It is Nintendo's first free-to-play mobile game--Super Mario Run was described as "free-to-start" and Pokemon Go was published by The Pokemon Company.
If you're interested in a more traditional Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia--a remake of sorts of Fire Emblem Gaiden--is on the way to 3DS on May 19. A new Fire Emblem game is also in development for Nintendo Switch, as is a Hyrule Warriors-style game called Fire Emblem Warriors. Nintendo's next mobile game is one based on Animal Crossing, which was recently delayed until at least April.
