Helldivers 2 Is Paying Out Extra In-Game Bonuses To Make Up For Unsquished Bug

Weekend plans just dropped.

If you've felt player rewards have been lacking in Helldivers 2 after finishing a mission, it's not just you. Developer Arrowhead is aware of the problem and continues to work on a fix. In the meantime, the game will grant extra bonuses to all players during the weekend.

In a message shared on Twitter, deputy game director Sagar Beroshi said that players will receive XP and Requisition at a 50% multiplier on top of the base mission score. To make sure you're actually getting said bonus, you should be able to see a Game Master Effect labeled "Accounting Corrections" while on the Super Destroyer.

The multiplier will be in effect until "the end of this Sunday," at midnight CET, which is 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. The weekend is already proving to be quite busy, with an issue with matchmaking taking place earlier today. Arrowhead deployed a fix shortly after and matchmaking is back again, but just in case, make sure to keep an eye out for the studio's social media accounts, especially the Discord server, in case you run into any problems.

Elsewhere in the galaxy, Arrowhead said it's "never" adding PvP to Helldivers 2 to avoid having a toxic community. After a busy first week, CEO Johan Pilestedt also teased a new roadmap forthcoming in the near future. Meanwhile, Xbox's Phil Spencer doesn't know how the game's current PlayStation exclusivity helps it.
