Warsaw, Poland-based developer Heaven X announced that it is currently in development on a new first-person shooter for the PC. Titled Alex Carver: Futurebrighter, the game is currently without a publisher, but it is scheduled to be finished in 2005.

Players in Futurebrighter take on the role of antihero Alex Carver, a prisoner on a space ship that has been shot down over a planet. He then runs up against the planet's demagogue, who is running a variety of nasty interdimensional experiments. Besides a straightforward load-out of weapons, players can also use stimulating drugs and ability-upgrading implants to give Carver new abilities.

GameSpot will supply more information on Alex Carver: Futurebrighter as it becomes attainable.
