Hearthstone Freebie: Just Log In To Get It--But Hurry

Happy Ghoul, happy life.

Temperatures may still be high, but that hasn't stopped Blizzard from launching its "Days of the Frozen Throne" event in Hearthstone. This event in the digital CCG comes with new quests and loot, as well as a new Tavern Brawl and a discounted bundle. To top it off, between now and September 23, you can get free stuff just for logging in.

If you open Hearthstone while the event is live, you'll receive a free golden Happy Ghoul card with no strings attached. You'll also get access to a pair of Legendary quests that offer a generous reward of 300 gold each when completed.

Now Playing: Blizzard Reveals Shrink Ray! Hearthstone Card Reveal For The Boomsday Project Expansion

In addition to the freebies, you can now purchase the "Bundle Up Bundle." It costs $20 and contains 30 Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs--that's about half the price those packs would normally cost. This is a particularly good deal if you haven't yet collected all nine Death Knights that were introduced in last year's Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion. Do note that these cards will be removed from Standard play when the next year of content begins, typically in April.

Blizzard recently announced several changes that are heading to Hearthstone in the near future, including new Classic cards, changes to ranked play, and an easier on-boarding process for new players. That's in addition to the final Hearthstone expansion that's coming during this Standard rotation year. The expansion is expected to arrive sometime before the end of 2018.
