Acclaim Sports has announced that HBO Boxing for the Sony PlayStation will ship to retailers on November 21 and will be available nationwide during the week of Thanksgiving. The game features Light heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr., as well as more than 35 other real-life boxers. In the fully licensed product, boxers will begin their careers in a local gym and work their way up through HBO Sports' boxing series, which includes KO Nation, HBO Boxing After Dark, HBO World Championship Boxing, and the pinnacle, TVKO Pay-Per-View from HBO.

"I am excited to headline Acclaim Sports' debut HBO Boxing title," said Roy Jones Jr. "The video game accurately reflects the electricity and excitement of what it's really like to fight on HBO."

Jones Jr. will be featured in several national TV ads for HBO Boxing, which will run during Thanksgiving and through late December. HBO Sports' Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, and Harold Lederman will provide in-game commentary.
