HBO received 14 nominations for this year's Golden Globes, leading the pack, but the network produced no winners. Now, HBO programming president Casey Bloys has responded to the awards show shutout.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Bloys said he's proud of the nominations and is taking everything in stride regarding going 0-14.

"On the one hand, I'm very proud of the 14 nominations," he said. "On the other hand, it's always more fun to win but we're proud of the shows. You win some, you lose some; you have to look forward at the things we have coming up. That's the way it goes sometimes; we had a good Emmys [but] had an off year at the Golden Globes. It happens."

HBO was among the big winners at the 2016 Emmys in September last year, picking up the awards for Outstanding Drama (Game of Thrones) and Comedy Series (Veep), according to Deadline.

HBO's Westworld and Game of Thrones were among the nominees for Best TV drama at the Golden Globes this year. Netflix's The Crown ended up winning. You can see all the winners for the 2017 Golden Globes here.

As THR explains, HBO received seven Golden Globe nominations last year and took home one, for the mini-series Show Me a Hero. A year before that, HBO picked up 15 nominations and landed one winner, The Normal Heart.

Although HBO got shut out this year, Bloys, the HBO programming boss, said his network has some strong shows coming up, including Westworld Season 2, Big Little Lies, The Deuce, and more.
