The Harry Potter movie series marks its 20th anniversary this year, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is celebrating with a re-release of the first film with a "Magical Movie Mode."

The re-release launches on August 17, and it features "filmmaking secrets, spell incantations, trivia, fun activities, and curiosities," according to the announcement on Pottermore.

The Magical Movie Mode is a new, interactive way to watch the first Harry Potter flick. As the movie plays, special graphics and audio features will appear during specific scenes to help viewers learn more about the magical franchise. Other content that will appear as the movie plays is director's commentary from Chris Columbus, deleted scenes, and trivia on a wide variety of subjects about the movie.

WB teased that it has lots more in store to celebrate the theatrical anniversary of The Philosopher's Stone/Sorcerer's Stone, so keep checking back for more.

2021 also marks the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings movie series. Celebrations for that franchise are on the way, too, including a new 4K box set with new bonus features this year.
