Midway brought by its upcoming N64 racing game from Boss Game Studios. Here's what we saw and learned.

Though not quite final, World Driver: Championship 64 was looking even more visually impressive than Boss' last racer, Top Gear Rally, with many more objects (buildings and so on) in the environment.

From what we saw, the track environments have a mood to them instead of possessing generic differences, such as a stormy Kyoto or an early morning race in Dublin. The title also seems to have a much more lenient learning curve for the beginning player. One of the more interesting features is that the player gets different cars by working for different racing teams. As their ranking improves, they receive offers from more noteworthy teams with cars that are faster or handle better.

The game still has about six weeks of development time before it's submitted to Nintendo for approval. Stay tuned for more info.
