343 Industries has announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be getting several brand-new items to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Halo.

In a new Twitter post, the Halo account confirmed that it will be giving players the chance to add some armory items to their collection to celebrate the series' birthday. Players can check the Exchange for a chance to get their hands on several items, including a Fronkbox Back Accessory, the Duke Shoulders, and the OGX Sniper Rifle.

The Duke Shoulders in particular are quite unique as they feature original Xbox controllers on the shoulder pads. All three items can be used in Halo 3 multiplayer included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The game also recently added Grifball, a mode that involves bombs and gravity hammers, which was originally created as a gag for Rooster Teeth's Red vs. Blue series, and later was developed into a fan-made game mode.

Elsewhere, the latest Halo Infinite update now includes playlists for highly requested game modes, including Slayer, Free-For-All, Tactical Slayer, and Fiesta. The update, which was released on December 14, also added personal and playlist-specific challenges which now give players the opportunity to gain more XP their way.
