Halo Infinite Takes Over College Football Game With AR Pelican

Halo and college football, together at last.

Microsoft is understandably going big to promote Halo Infinite, and part of the promotional campaign included a very cool AR takeover at a recent college football game.

A slick AR motion graphic was aired during the Oregon football game this weekend. It featured a Pelican flying into the stadium and displaying the Halo Infinite logo on the field. People watching on TV saw this, while those at the game saw it on the jumbotron. So no, Microsoft didn't make a real Pelican and fly it onto the field, but it's still pretty cool.

Oregon, which is ranked 10th in the country, won its game on Saturday against Oregon State by a score of 38-29.

This weekend also saw the release of a stunning new Halo Infinite live-action trailer. With Halo Infinite's full release on December 8 coming up soon, you can probably expect to see even more ads and promotions to build hype around the big upcoming release.

Halo Infinite's multiplayer launched on November 15, and the campaign is releasing on December 8. For more, check out GameSpot's Halo Infinite review-in-progress.
