Halo 2 dated for UK

Microsoft has today announced that Halo 2 will go on sale in the UK on Thursday, November 11. Previously it was believed that the European game would be released alongside the North American version on November 9.

"Halo 2 is the hottest game heading to Europe for Christmas, and it will be in stores in the UK from November 11," said Michel Cassius, senior director, Xbox platform and marketing. "We know people are waiting for it and Halo 2 is everything people expect it to be--a fitting sequel to Halo and the most hotly anticipated title on any platform. With multiplayer online capabilities that expand online gaming to another level, Halo 2 is a significant launch."

At the time of writing, Microsoft hasn't confirmed whether or not the Halo 2 two-disc limited-edition boxed set announced for North America at E3 will also be released in Europe. We'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
