Half-Life: Counter-Strike Announced
Sierra Studios and Valve announce a retail stand-alone version of the popular multiplayer mod.
The most popular multiplayer mod for Half-Life will soon be available in a stand-alone retail version. Sierra Studios and Valve have announced Half-Life: Counter-Strike, a multiplayer game combining an expanded version of the Counter-Strike mod and three other top Half-Life mods. It will also include the Half-Life code to allow Counter-Strike to be played without owning the original version of Half-Life. The single-player game of Half-Life will not be included. Half-Life: Counter-Strike is scheduled for release in the fall of 2000.
