Hades Brings Hell To Your Hands With A Switch Release And Cross-Save This Year

Hades, Supergiant Games' rougelike dungeon crawler, is coming to Nintendo Switch this year. Designer Amir Rao appeared during the Nintendo Indie World showcase to announce that the game, in which you play as the underworld's immortal prince and battle the forces of Hell, will come to the system this year.

A new animated trailer debuted along with a release window--Fall 2020, which isn't far away. The game is currently in Early Access on both the Epic Games Store and Steam.

Back in June, Hades received its final major Early Access update, and has been gearing up for a 1.0 launch ever since. This update added several new enemies and updated character models and animations. The Switch version will be a 1.0 release.

It was also announced that the Switch version and PC version will have cross-save, so you can import your progress on PC over to Switch. You'll still need to buy this version of the game separately to reap the benefits, but it's a good feature to have access to.

This will be the third game from Supergiant Games to come to Switch, following Bastion and Transistor.
