Get ready to raise your mighty chalice of rock twice, with Activision today announcing a new Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle for the Nintendo Wii exclusive to Australian gamers.

The new pack will include two wireless Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Gibson Les Paul controllers in the box and a copy of the game. Activision also confirmed to GameSpot AU that the software shipping as part of the new bundle will be the new remastered version. Wii copies of Guitar Hero III sold before Christmas last year only outputted game audio in mono due to an error during manufacturing.

Red Octane/Activision Australia product manager Peter Skjellerup acknowledges the pack comes in response to stock shortages throughout the holiday period, which left some users unable to purchase a copy of the game for the Wii. "The introduction of the Wii Double Pack bundle aims to make amends for the shortfall of stock by giving Wii gamers access to multiplayer fun without buying two copies of the game," Skjellerup said.

Activision didn't list an Australian retail price, but retailers with stock at the time of the announcement listed the pack at between A$189 ($174) and A$199.95. Single guitar bundles for the Wii cost A$139.
