The organizers behind the Evolution Championship Series recently announced Evo 2020's lineup of games, including newcomers such as Granblue Fantasy Versus and old favorites like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Alongside the myriad of competitive fighters making an appearance in Las Vegas this summer, prolific fighting game developer and publisher Arc System Works has confirmed Guilty Gear Strive will be part of a separate competition running alongside this year's annual esports tournament.

ArcSys announced that, in conjunction with Evo 2020, it is putting together a special Guilty Gear Strive tournament between the Top 8 set to run on the circuit's main stage. This special tournament will be held on Friday, July 31. You can enter at your own risk or stream the matches from the comfort of your bedroom. Either way, it'll be our first taste of tournament-level Guilty Gear Strive gameplay--and it should be exciting.

In addition to the main tournament--which will feature titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Tekken 7, and more--Evo 2020 will also host an invitation-only Marvel vs. Capcom 2 competition. This tournament will be played on the Dreamcast to commemorate the game's 20th anniversary.

The Evolution Championship Series 2020 is slated to take place in Las Vegas between July 31-August 2 at the Mandalay Bay. You can register for the event on Evo's official website.
