Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer Reveals Baby Groot in Action & Starlord's Secret

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 lands in theaters next year. The first teaser was released back in October, but a second has arrived. James Gunn unveiled the trailer today at Comic Con Experience 2016 in São Paulo, Brazil.

While the first teaser gave a small taste of what Baby Groot's role would be, the second shows what he is fully capable of.

The movie deals with the Guardians traveling the cosmos together while trying to unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. It's mentioned that "old foes become new allies" in the official synopsis. This likely refers to Yondu. Although, it could mean we'll see the Collector helping out the Guardians despite his place getting destroyed in the first film.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens May 5, 2017.

Telltale Games also confirmed the rumor that they were working on a video game based on the characters and released a trailer at during The Game Awards 2016.
