April 29th is my birthday and this was my most anticipated game of this year so those two things together equals pretty awesome.

Tiefster i agree 100%, wonder if GTA4 will install game files too for the ps3, that would be awesome, i think all ps3 versions of games will start coming out with installation for games to improve gameplay, UT3 did it, DMC4 did it, wonder what other games will take advantage of it

I am very pleased that Rockstar has released an Official Release date. I only wish more developers would do the same. :)

We would be playing it now if it wasn't for the Ps3's crappy hardware.

Good News For Ps3.

Tenorio, Rockstar actually placed the blame on both 360 and PS3 for the delay. Since 360 doesn't have a standard HDD they can't install game files like on PS3. I don't know if you heard but supposedly there's going to be a hefty install for DMC4 on PS3 that will eliminate load times. As for PS3, well you know the story. Everyone of Sony's consoles have been hard to program for.

$100 says we get a price drop for the x360 Elite on the same day.

Damn PS3, its development does take longer, everyone knows it. I bet the 360 version would have been out sooner but Sony likes to throw its weight around and force and simultaneous launch since they didnt get exclusivity.

LOL The ESRB is just a bunch of obsessed parents and dumbasses who filter things in games while there are worse things kids can see EASILY on TV. Hell, they show nudity on those foreign film cable channels that kids can watch without paying anything. If a game is rated M, such as Halo, or GTA.. parents should not buy them for children, simple as that. If they are dumb enough to do so, well... maybe they shouldn't have children. Game ratings are there for a reason, and M should be sufficient enough for people to understand that kids under 17 should not be viewing/playing them.

Hey twistedhades, They have fixed the 360 burnout problem with the new chip. At least thats what i think you were getting at, hard to tell with your illiterate rambling. While I am a little disappointed in the fact its not a ps3 exclusive, i've realized that most companies are hedging their bets and releasing for at least 2 of the systems. Since sony is constantly bouncing around with what they are doing with their console, most developers are avoiding an exclusive release on it. GTA IV be one of this years top sellers for sure.

Allow me to translate for you what twistedhades said: Oh yes, Grand Theft Auto 4 will be amazing on my PS3. Oh yes. The GTA brand has been amazing ever since it was exclusive to Sony. In my opinion I think all game developers are scared of the processing power of the PS3 and that is why there are so many delays. They are ill equipped to deal with parallel processing and programming, unlike myself who could make GTA4 on my own. The silly buggers. The PS3 always takes the blame when your Xbox 360 burns out because it is an underpowered piece of trash. In the words of Britney Spears "Oops... I Did It Again". Or I could shorten it down to one sentence: "I AM A PS3 FANBOY AND EVERYTHING ELSE SUX0RS COZ I SAY SO"

Gta San Andreas was a big let down to alot of people. "Come on man GTA ALWAYS lives up to the hype!!!"

Man, these guys could have rehashed GTA III with high-definition graphics and it would have sold like hotcakes. I can only imagine what they have up their sleeves for the new game. I suspect it will make really good use of all the additional processing power on the 360 and PS3. Speaking of GTA IV, when is the sequel to Saint's Row coming out?
