GTA Online Update: Here's Everything New This Week

It's a new week, and that means Rockstar's enduringly popular GTA Online has received another update that brings with it a new car, various sales, and opportunities to earn extra cash and RP. Rockstar announced all the details on its website, and we're rounding up everything you need to know.

New Car:

Starting with the new car, the BF Weevil is now available in GTA Online. "Whether you're using it to move your cult up into the foothills of the Tataviam Mountains or schlepping your red-eyed pals down to a party at Vespucci Beach, the Weevil can help get you there," Rockstar said.

Extra XP

Everyone who takes part in the battle royale mode Motor Wars this week will earn triple GTA$ and RP. Like Fortnite and Warzone, Motor Wars sees teams parachuting onto a map and duking it out to become the last team standing. It's called Motor Wars because there are armed vehicles on the map that teams can command to try to get the upper hand against their opponents.

That's not the only way to earn extra GTA$ and RP this week. All Smuggler Sell missions are paying out 2X GTA$ and RP for the duration of the week. What's more, all of the Rockstar-created air races are offering triple prize money and RP through January 13.

Freebies

Rockstar is also offering up freebies for everyone who simply logs into GTA Online. Everyone is getting the Guffy Double Logo hat for free, while those who have completed the new Cayo Perico heist will receive the Bigness Faces sweater.

Additionally, Rockstar reminded players that this is the final week to grab the following bonuses:

• The Manor Tie-dye Tee for completing a Cayo Perico Scoping Mission
• The Rockstar Grey Pattern Tee for completing a Cayo Perico Prep Mission
• The Panther Tour Jacket for completing the Cayo Perico Heist Finale
• The Panther Varsity Jacket – awarded as a badge of honor to those who participated in the November Heist Challenge

Diamond Casino & Resort

Players who visit the Diamond Casino & Resort this week can try their luck at spinning the Lucky Wheel to get a prize. This week's big-ticket item is the Enus Paragon R sportscar. Other prizes up for grabs include GTA$, RP, clothing, and other "mystery items."
