GTA Online: The Real-World Fashion Brands You Can Get In Los Santos
Rockstar shared more information about its collaboration with Civilist And MISBHV.
In GTA Online's Cayo Perico heist update, players can purchase the digital equivalent of real-world fashion brands in Los Santos. Misbhv is one of the featured fashion brands and centers around "Y2K-minded sportswear" sensibilities. The other label, Civilist, is a Berlin skate-wear brand with more subdued designs.
In a blog post, Rockstar states that it was connected to the two brands through Keinemusik, the three real-life DJs who cameo in-game as The Music Locker's DJs. The Music Locker is GTA Online's underground club, created to give a virtual counterpart of what being at the club feels like. "The developers want the virtual club to be a venue to support music and a safe space for GTA players to party and have fun," according to Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser in an interview with W Magazine.
More on Misbhv: It's a Polish brand and the label's in-game products include a bright tie-dyed shirt and cargo pants. In real-life, you might also have seen various celebrities wearing Misbhv's trendy bodysuit, including Jordyn Woods, the Clermont Twins, and Rosalia. (Athleisure isn't dead yet, it seems.)
GTA Online added the Cayo Perico heist back in December 2020. Players are tasked with stealing documents off of an island and ferrying them back to the Madrazo crime family. It's the first heist where players can go solo, though you can participate in the event with three other players.
Rockstar will release a standalone edition of GTA Online in 2021, first for PS5 and then for other platforms. New versions of GTA 5 made specifically for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will also arrive in 2021.
GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
