GTA III 10th Anniversary Celebration

Rockstar's Dan Houser and members of the GameSpot staff recall memories of one of the most influential games of all time.

It's hard to believe that 10 years have passed since Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto III for the PlayStation 2. The game not only sparked a revolution in open-world design and influenced countless other games to follow, but it also attracted a fair bit of controversy from mainstream media that continues to demonize it to this day. To celebrate this occasion, we took a trip up to New York where we met up with Dan Houser, the VP of creative at Rockstar Games, who has written for the series since GTA III. We also had a few members of the GameSpot editorial team recall some of their favorite tricks while playing the game, which you can find below.
