GTA 5 Story DLC Question Draws "No Comment" From Take-Two

Rockstar Games has regularly supported Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, with new and substantial content. But fans are still waiting for the promised single-player expansion.

Last night during parent publisher Take-Two Interactive's latest earnings call, an analyst asked if there was any update the company could provide regarding the status of this content. Unfortunately for fans, Take-Two president Karl Slatoff wouldn't budge.

"In terms of DLC for GTA V, we really don't have anything to say about that today," he said.

This is not altogether surprising, considering Take-Two historically lets Rockstar Games make its own announcements. And there is no reason to believe the DLC is canceled.

Back in May, during another earnings call, an analyst asked if GTA V's story DLC was still in development. CEO Strauss Zelnick suggested that it wasn't, but the company later confirmed that he misspoke.

"Over a year ago, Rockstar Games had said that they were exploring story mode content for Grand Theft Auto V; however, no further information has been released since," the company said at the time. "As always, we leave it to Rockstar Games to share information about their games when they're ready."

Predecessor Grand Theft Auto IV welcomed two post-release expansions: The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Take-Two also announced this week that GTA V has risen to new heights, reaching 54 million copies shipped.
