When you boot up Grand Theft Auto V tomorrow on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, you'll need to download an update that will introduce "tweaks and optimizations" to the open-world game. Now we know the size of the update, at least for the PlayStation 4 version.

Via Videogamer, the size of the PS4 day-one patch--1.14 GB--was revealed recently on Reddit by a user who posted a screenshot of the game's install process (at left). The full game, meanwhile, weighs in at 44.87 GB on PS4. The PS4 version is now available for pre-load, just like on Xbox One.
The size of GTA V's day-one patch on Xbox One has not been confirmed.
GTA V officially launches tomorrow, November 18, for Xbox One and PS4. The game features better visuals, increased draw distances, denser crowds, and new wildlife. It also packs in a first-person mode, which changes the way you see Los Santos and Blaine County in a significant way.
For more on the new version of GTA V, check out GameSpot's review of the PS4 iteration. The PC version of GTA V is coming in January 2015.
