GTA 5 outsold Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin's Creed 4 in the UK during opening week
Rockstar's latest success story bests many of the year's AAA releases.
The opening week sales of Grand Theft Auto V in the UK were higher than the first week sales of FIFA 14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Batman: Arkham Origins combined.
Take-Two Interactive announced that the game grossed $1 billion worldwide in its first three days on sale.
