To celebrate the release of the latest update for GTA Online, Rockstar will be kicking off a special weekend event where you can earn bonus experience and money, among other things.

The first part of the Ill-Gotten Gains update goes live for GTA V on all platforms tomorrow, June 10. The launch event will then kick off on June 12 and run through June 14. You'll be entitled to various bonuses and discounts throughout the weekend.

When playing any of the Adversary modes added alongside GTA's online heists, you'll earn double the amount of in-game cash that you ordinarily would. If you play through an entire playlist, you'll also receive bonus items like sticky bombs, molotovs, proximity mines, and body armor. If you're more into races, you'll earn twice as much RP during any race.

Another way to earn some extra cash is to keep an eye out for crate drops, which will be more commonplace than usual during the event. Rockstar says to keep an eye on the "luxurious hangouts of Los Santos great and good such as the racetrack, yacht club, and Rockford Hills areas," where you'll find crates containing $10,000 in GTA money and exclusive in-game t-shirts (pictured above). Or, if you're feeling creative, you can take part in a picture-taking contest that will award a player with $1 million in-game cash.

High-end properties are temporarily being reduced in price by 25 percent for the weekend, giving you the chance to upgrade your digs using all of that bonus cash being handed out.

The Ill Gotten Gains: Part One update going live tomorrow introduces new high-end items for players to spend their money on, including gold airplanes and helicopters. This is in response to players clamoring for new things to spend their money on after the release of online heists in March.
