Grand Theft Auto V is celebrating Halloween with a special in-game event. Rockstar Games on Thursday announced GTA Online: Halloween Surprise, which sees the release of spooky items such as cars and masks, as well as a slasher-themed adversary mode. Like GTA Online's most recent update, Lowriders, this one is coming exclusivey to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

GTA Online's Halloween Surprise adds two creepy new vehicles: Lurcher Hurse and Franken Stange. In addition, Rockstar has added 20 new "ghoulish" bobbleheads that can be added to any new lowrider car.
The Halloween update also brings new masks for Heists. You'll find these in a new Halloween mask category in the Monsters section of Vespucci Movie Masks store. In addition, Rockstar has added 30 new "spooky" face paint options to help you celebrate the holiday.

In addition, GTA Online's Halloween Surprise event introduces a new "Slasher" adversary mode, which supports up to eight players. Rockstar's official description of the mode is below.
"Run, hide, and fight to survive in the darkness as the player designated as the Slasher stalks their prey with a shotgun," it said. "Use your new flashlight to navigate if you dare, but be careful not to reveal your position or you'll quickly become prey. Survive for 3 minutes and you'll get the chance to return the favor with a shotgun of your own."
Finally, Rockstar said it will announce a new GTA Online weekend-only Halloween activity later this week, while a special livestream event will take place tomorrow, October 30.
As announced previously, Rockstar is focusing its efforts on new-generation consoles and PC for future GTA Online updates. It remains to be seen if the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of GTA Online receive any further significant content updates.
GTA Online's Halloween Surprise event started today, October 29, and runs through November 16.
