Today, the single-player demo for Ground Control II: Operation Exodus premiered on GameSpot DLX. Published by VU Games, Ground Control II is the sequel to Ground Control, the acclaimed real-time strategy PC game from Swedish developer Massive Entertainment. Like its predecessor, Operation Exodus will drop players in the midst of a futuristic conflict, giving them command of an army brimming with high-tech tanks and artillery.

Also like the first Ground Control, the focus of Operation Exodus' gameplay will be on combat instead of resource collection and management. The single-player demo will let players sample Ground Control II's tactical gameplay via two tutorial missions and one campaign mission. Players will take the side of the Northern Star Alliance, one of the factions in the game.

Ground Control II: Operation Exodus will arrive in stores on June 22. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
