On the last day of Ubi Soft's Gamers Week, the company talked a little bit about the PC version of Grandia II, the popular Japanese role-playing game in development at Game Arts. The game was originally released for the Sega Dreamcast earlier this year, but Ubi Soft has plans to release ports on the PlayStation 2 and PC toward the end of the year. The PC version is functionally identical to the original Dreamcast version of Grandia II, although the game will run at a higher resolution than it did on the console.

Grandia II is a role-playing game not unlike the games in the Final Fantasy series. The game will feature more than 40 hours of gameplay, as well as a complete suite of voice acting, varying characters, and an enormous world to explore. Grandia II for the PC will be out in North America later this year. Ubi Soft hasn't decided whether or not to release the game in Japan because of the country's small PC market. We'll have more on the game as its release date approaches.
