The developer announced the delay on its blog, saying it's "made some decisions about where the game was and how much time and attention [they] believe it deserves." The game isn't set to release for another year, and Fullbright says it wasn't a last-minute decision.

"This isn't a last minute 'we just need a little more time!' thing, but more of a 'we need to be responsible about giving the game more space to live up to its potential' kind of thing," the developer said.

Fullbright said in a newsletter to its fans that it took feedback from other developers and landed on the decision to examine and work on some of the "core assumptions" it had about its game.

"How would gravity really work on a deep-space facility like Tacoma?" the Gone Home dev asked. "What are we trying to say about the function and implications of Augmented Reality--and how does the player interact meaningfully with the story content in the game, in a fundamentally different way than anything we've worked on before?"

Fullbright also mentioned that it'll show Tacoma this summer. We'll keep you updated on when and where the game will be shown as more information becomes available.
