Godzilla Vs. Kong Delayed 8 Months
The battle for the ages will have to wait.
You'll have to wait a little while longer to see Godzilla fight King Kong.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has announced that the new movie, Godzilla vs. Kong, has been delayed by a number of months. It's now due to launch on November 20, 2020, which is about eight months after its previously scheduled March 13, 2020 release date.
It will be the third new film in the Warner Bros. monster universe since 2014, following Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island (2017), and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).
Godzilla vs. Kong is directed by Adam Wingard--he previously directed the spooky movies The Guest (2014) and Blair Witch (2016). The new monster movie promises a battle for the ages, with Godzilla and King Kong duking it out.
The three movies in WB's monster universe have combined to make around $1.5 billion. The newest movie, King of the Monsters, was the worst performing of the bunch, bringing in $385.9 million worldwide.
