Glu Mobile purchases iFone
Acquisition gives mobile entertainment publisher the worldwide rights to phone-based versions of Lemmings, Monopoly, and Atari Classics.
Wireless entertainment publisher Glu Mobile today announced that it has acquired fellow publisher iFone, along with the worldwide rights to its top-selling titles, including Monopoly, Lemmings, and Atari Classics. Those franchises join Glu's own stable of mobile games, which includes Zuma, Deer Hunter, and Marc Ecko's Getting Up. The deal also sees Glu Mobile get the European rights to iFone's Sonic the Hedgehog. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
