Glow Cast Wants A Netflix Movie Finale
The show's stars are urging fans to keep the pressure on.
On the heels of being canceled last week, the cast of Netflix's Glow is asking fans to rally around a push for a movie to wrap up the series properly. It's not an entirely far-fetched ask: The wrestling dramedy was originally renewed for a fourth season but the production realities of COVID-19 for a large ensemble requiring actors to be in close proximity to one another made moving forward safely implausible.
"Let us wrap it up in a two-hour Netflix movie," said Marc Maron in a video posted on social media. "They had the whole season laid out… [give us] an opportunity to finish the story."

This sentiment was further reinforced in a 90-minute livestreamed cast reunion days after the cancelation, where the stars got an opportunity to both break and react to the news while answering fan questions. The event, Afterglow: The Final Bell, was moderated by Glamour's Jessica Radloff was scheduled before news of the cancelation to promote voter registration.
"We scheduled this Zoom when we thought we still had a season four," said Betty Gilpin (Stuber, Nurse Jackie) during the event. "So it feels like we invited you to our wedding and then the groom had sex with a cross-eyed cocktail waitress and now we're just all drunk at the venue together and we're like, 'Enjoy the quiches because it’s over!' But if this wedding is now a funeral, let's make it one of those fun great ones."
Glow is just the latest in a long list of shows canceled by Netflix this year.
