Comments

LucasArts has released new screenshots from Gladius, a turn-based strategy RPG set against the backdrop of gladiatorial combat. In the game, players will take control of a group of gladiators who will gain experience and learn different skills over the course of the game. In addition to the basic assortment of gladiatorial weaponry, Gladius gives its combatants the ability to use magic. The game also features 16 character classes, 400 pieces of equipment, 100 customizable character types, 20 different arenas, and 12 other locations. Currently, the final game is scheduled to have an exhibition mode (where players can jump right into battle), a story mode, and a four-player cooperative mode.

We'll have much more on Gladius before its releases in Q2 2003.
