Giga Pets Invade KFC
The Colonel's recipe won't be safe for long.
Just as Beanie Babies invaded McDonald's, Tiger's Giga Pets are set to invade Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants.
KFC kicked off the promotion on Tuesday by releasing a couple hundred toys at select Jacksonville, FL, locations. The first shipment arrived by armored truck to local youth center The Bridge and was given away with KFC lunches to kids attending the center's day camp.
Later this year, Giga Pets will invade nationwide KFC locations. With a meal purchase, customers can choose between Compu Kitty or Digital Doggie for US$5.99. The Pets normally retail for $9.99.
