Ubi Soft has announced that Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for the Xbox has gone gold. The tactical shooter originally appeared on the PC last year, and will support Microsoft's Xbox Live online gaming service. According to Ubi Soft vice president of marketing Tony Kee, "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon will rock console gaming to its core. Ghost Recon showcases Xbox Live by creating a very realistic game play experience. Gamers can talk to one another and plan out strategies or develop maneuvers using the Xbox Communicator, tackle missions cooperatively, or challenge and advance in rank as they complete their missions. The result is a true-to-life battlefield experience that will leave gamers winded from nonstop combat action!"

Ghost Recon for the Xbox is scheduled for release later this month. For more information on the game, consult our previous coverage .
