Get GTA games for cheap during Rockstar Publisher Weekend Steam sale

No matter how old games such as these get, they never feel dated, always fun, and many times still feel superior to modern games released today. It's not just for nostalgia's stake that people play old games, it's that certain games are so incredibly good, that they never seem to age, and are always great experiences to go back to, even today.

i like being able to play old games, especially when new consoles come out and nothing good is going to be out for atleast a half a year to a year.

I'm not a retro gamer but I do often play older games like Morrowind and San Andreas. I play them because they are classics regardless of the technological advances of future games. Also there wasn't much DLC so when you bought a game you got the 'full' experience.

This is an article about Rockstar games on Steam being cheap. Where is this talk about using VHS over Blu ray coming from?

Steam version of San Andreas is v3.0 and the only ones that are moddable and v1.0 and v1.1; the later removes the "Hot coffee" but you get better framerates with anti-aliasing applied and more resolutions.

I think all I did was rename GTA-SA.exe to GTA-SA_old.exe and then download a No-CD exe of v1.1 from GameCopyWorld; and rename that from GTA_SA.exe to GTA-SA.exe.

Now you should be able to install mods :)

<< LINK REMOVED >> There is a Max Payne 1 and 2 bundle that costs about $3-4. But If you have newer versions of windows like windows 8 or 7, than I recommend not getting it. A lot of problems. Game doesn't start, or if it does work, there's no sound etc etc.

As much as I want it on PC.....You'll have a better shot at seeing GTA 5 on PC before RDR....which sucks, because RDR was a million times better then GTA 5.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Doubtful. The reason behind no RDR for PC, PS4, or Xbox One is that the developers have stated the games code is a jumbled mess. They said it would take 8 months for a team of programmers to fix all the coding mess. Why is it so bad? Not sure, I guess optimizing their game code wasn't on the list of priorities. I'd like to see it on PC, but I've already played over a hundred hours of it on Xbox and PS3. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Rockstar San Diego has in store for us, and hopefully they bring it over to PC. If not, well, that's why I own at least one console.

Still going on about it? Just get a 12gb Xbox cheap if you want to play it so badly.

Oh get over yourselves already. GTA is and always has been a console game first. It makes me laugh how PC gamers deride console gamers for inferior graphics, speed ect, but guess whose been playing GTA V since October.......not you lot rofl.
