Whether you're trying to block out some noisy coworkers in the office, a loud conversation on a flight, or construction outside your home, having a good pair of noise-canceling headphones is a must. The premium pairs can get expensive, but fortunately, there's a great deal on an affordable pair of noise-canceling headphones with wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

For today only, the Sony WH-XB900N model is down to $148, usually selling for $248 at Amazon. That's the cheapest they've been all year, though they did drop as low as $123 last December. Still, it's an excellent price and worth jumping on if you need a new pair. With 4.6 out of 5 stars and over 2,000 reviews on Amazon, the Sony WH-XB900N headphones are a solid budget option. In addition to noise-canceling, the headphones also feature up to 30 hours of battery life, hands-free calling, and a neat Quick Attention Mode that allows you to muffle the music and quickly listen in to what's happening around you by placing your hand over the right ear cup.

Keep in mind that while these are Sony headphones, they're not compatible with the PS4 via Bluetooth; you could, however, connect them to your PS4 controller using the included cable.

In our sister site CNET's Sony WH-XB900N headphones review, David Carnoy gave the pair a 7.9 out of 10, calling them a comfortable, more affordable alternative to Sony's popular WH-1000XM3 headphones but noting that they do lack the premium feel of the WH-1000XM3.

"The Sony WH-XB900N Extra Bass has a similar design to the WH-1000XM3 and shares many of its features but costs $100 less," wrote Carnoy. "It's a comfortable headphone, has USB-C charging, good battery life, and effective noise-canceling. It works well as a headset for making calls, and the sound quality is quite good as long as you don't mind a preponderance of bass."
