Get 30% Off (Almost) Any PC Game on Origin Right Now

The code expires on May 31.

Looking for a new PC game? EA's Origin store is currently offering a 30 percent off code that is good on almost everything on the platform.

Use the code "Origin30" at checkout to see the discount.

No Caption Provided

There are a few limitations, however. The code cannot be used on Star Wars: The Old Republic, preorders, or "select partner titles" such as non-EA games, according to the fine print. Additionally, you can't use it on virtual currency, game time codes, or subscriptions.

The offer is good through May 31 at 10 AM PST.

Using the code, you can get popular EA games like Star Wars Battlefront and FIFA 16 for $28, or Dragon Age: Inquisition for $14.

In other news about Origin, eight new titles were added to the Origin Access free game Vault today, including all the Mass Effect games.

GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.

Origin is the most under-stocked online store there is. And yes I know it's only EA, and that's why it's a stupid store.

Even with 30% off, the price comes nowhere close to Steam sale prices or even Steam's regular price. Origin's prices are a total rip off especially here in Australia.

Although I have Origin installed in my PC, I mostly forget it even exists. When I rarely access it, I get irritated looking at prices and wonder how EA manages to keep it going.

@cornbredx: Same goes. I have Mass Effect 3 on DVD and still had to fight Origin to get it to install. It wouldn't even apply patches properly. It just gets stuck trying to install them. Starting fresh and reinstalling Origin didn't help. I ended up playing the game without any patches applied. Luckly, I didn't play that game online, so that problem wasn't breaking.

Origin is just one of those products I'm not willing to put money toward. Even being out as long as it has and it still feels unfinished and unpolished.
