Sony has announced a new PlayStation Plus promotion whereby Australian gamers can get 15 months of the premium subscription service for the price of 12. Now through Wednesday, January 24, you can pick up 15 months of PS Plus for $80 AUD. This deal is only available through the PlayStation Store, and as mentioned, it's only good for one week.

Even if you're already a PS Plus subscriber, you can take advantage of the discounted rate and you'll get the 15 months for the price of 12 when your current subscription ends.

There is no word as of yet as to whether or not this offer will be made available in the United States, where a 12-month subscription to PS Plus goes for the standard $60.

In other news, Sony recently announced that PlayStation Plus now has 31.5 million paying members globally. You need a PS Plus membership to play games online and access some other network features. Also, your membership gets you free games every month, deeper discounts on digital games, and online storage space for cloud saves.

January 2018's free PS Plus games for PS4 include Telltale's Batman series and Square Enix's Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. You can see the full January 2018 PS Plus lineup here.
