Update: Microsoft has actually confirmed that Killer Instinct will be released for PC in March, which is when Season Three will be available on both computer and Xbox One. However, there's still no official date for Gears of War.

Original Story: While there still aren't any precise dates to be had, the PC versions of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Killer Instinct may be releasing relatively soon.

Asked on Twitter about when the two games will make it out for computers, head of Xbox Phil Spencer responded, "Haven't announced dates yet but won't be too far into 2016."

Both games were confirmed for Windows 10 releases at E3 this past June, though neither were given release dates. Killer Instinct supports cross-platform play with the Xbox One version, and content purchased on the console will carry over to PC.

While Microsoft has over the years repeatedly expressed its commitment to PC gaming, it's failed to bring most of its first-party Xbox games to PC. While there's still no word on a new Halo (outside of Halo Online in Russia) or Forza--or Gears of War 4, for that matter--coming to the platform, this is a positive sign.

Microsoft recently expanded support for its Xbox Wireless Adapter to Windows 7 and 8.1. Previously, the adapter--which allows for Xbox One controllers to be used wirelessly with a PC--required users to be on Windows 10.
