GameStop will hold a one-day, open-to-the-public convention called GameStop Expo this August in San Antonio, Texas, the company announced today. Upcoming titles from Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Activision, and Electronic Arts will be on hand, and general admission tickets start at $35.

GameStop's Expo is open for five hours. Hopefully the lines are short!

GameStop Expo will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 29, and unlike the firm's company-wide manager conference, this show will be open to PowerUp Rewards members.

A GameStop representative told GameSpot this afternoon that the GameStop Expo is open only to PowerUp Rewards members. That service is free to join.

Those looking for a premium experience can purchase a $100 VIP pass, which grants gamers access to four sessions with "some of the biggest names in gaming," as well as entry to the gaming lounge and special lines for signings.

Those interested in attending GameStop Expo can head to the event's website to register.
