2015 marks GameStop's third consecutive year working with St. Jude for this campaign, and over those years, it has raised more than $1.5 million for cancer research and treatment programs. For 2015, GameStop said it's hoping to raise $1 million for the charity.

GameStop's St. Jude campaign kicks off November 1 and runs through the end of the year. As part of the event, customers can make donations in-store at GameStop locations across the country, or at company's non-gaming stores such as Simply Mac, Spring Mobile AT&T, and the new ThinkGeek store in Orlando.

Shoppers can also give to the campaign through GameStop's website.

Everyone who donates $1 or more will receive triple PowerUp Rewards points, as well as an extra 10 percent trade-in credit for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 games. They'll also receive a 25 percent discount on Skin-It sleeve designs.

More details about St. Jude and the Thanks and Giving campaign are available at the organization's website or by phone at 1-800-4STJUDE.

GameStop also supports charities like Ronald McDonald Houses and Make-A-Wish, which it donated $1.2 million to earlier this year as part of its latest campaign.
