GameSpot's Download Premieres

On Thursday, November 19, GameSpot and ZDNet's Launchpad will debut an exclusive introductory offer for free gameplay of Microsoft's Fighter Ace 1.5 and the demo for Blue Byte's Settlers 3.

Gamers who download the Fighter Ace 1.5 file from GameSpot or ZDNet's Launchpad will have a chance to play free of charge for two weeks beginning Monday, November 23. The normal charge for this game is either US$1.95 a day or $9.95 a month.

The third entry in Blue Byte's Settlers series, Settlers III, promises to be more than just a logical extension of its predecessors with new features including modified combat. GameSpot and ZDNet's Launchpad have released the English version of the demo here in the US and a German version will premiere on GameSpot Germany.

On Friday, November 20, GameSpot will also exclusively launch a new massively multiplayer map for Unreal. According to GT Interactive, 99.9 percent of the issues with Unreal's multiplayer gameplay have been resolved with the v2.19 patch and will allow this new map to be a massively entertaining undertaking.
