1920x1080 vs 1600x900?

@bunchanumbers @cvfish @Ne-Plus-Ultra @snaketus In the article about Forza 5 being in 1080p,they did already said that Developers will have to make trade offs if they want something to run in 1080p.

Very mindboggling decision, it appears that they are going after 1600x900 resolution as a standardin most of the cases.

Every of my TV's is 1080p capable , why in f*** would i would play games in lower resolution or watch TV through their Xcone

@cvfish @bunchanumbers @Ne-Plus-Ultra @snaketus pretty much if they do downclock the GPU it will be things like games won't be in 1080p and will be 900p and games won't have tesselation and the shadows will be bad. It means the X1 could run games like it could before but the games won't have access to the things that would pretty it up. Or risk RROD.

@cvfish @Ne-Plus-Ultra @snaketus yeah the esram thing has been floating around for a while, but came to the forefront of the rumor mill after the reveal. If it is true it will really widen the gap between ps4 and X1 powerwise. especially if they have to downclock the esram.

I don't understand why they do that? Especially when we've seen that it runs fine on the dev kits that were available. Plus it ran fine at E3, so all it does is create problems down the line when people wonder why'd they do that. Thanks for replying that is a hard one to find.
