GameSpot Goes Global

Gamers in the UK awoke last week to their very own GameSpot.

Coveniently located on the Web at www.gamespot.co.uk, GameSpot UK is the second international GameSpot site to go live.

The first international site launched in Australia earlier this year. Upcoming international sites include GameSpot Greece, GameSpot Norway, GameSpot Malaysia, GameSpot Holland, and GameSpot Sweden - all scheduled to launch by the end of the year.

Gamers in the UK now have easy access to GameSpot news, reviews, and previews. And because we all know that the blokes in the UK talk in their own inimitable style (and use some damn funny words as well), the new site will have a local team of editors to fashion GameSpot's content so it reflects those local nuances.

While GameSpot UK will carry all of the American content, it will also carry locally-originated news, previews, reviews, and downloads.

The GameSpot UK editorial team will be managed by ZDNet UK editor Eugene Lacey.
