Gamers Caught in Sin
Ritual looks to gamers to help determine the attributes of the characters for its first-person action game Sin.
Since Ritual Entertainment's first-person action game Sin won't be hitting the stores until the beginning of 1998, gamers now have the opportunity to help the developer create attributes and personalities for the characters in the game. Through its web site, gamers can help Ritual name characters, provide ideas about their first lines of attack, and help define physical attributes and death sequences. At least one new character will be posted via Ritual's site during the last week of each month, through December.
Gamers can send suggestions and their opinions to monsters@ritual.com, and the game's designers will incorporate player ideas into the finished product.
Sin uses id Software's Quake engine, and will be distributed by Activision.
